Patrick Le Galès (SciencesPO, Paris) visited Amsterdam to deliver an insightful keynote talk on the fundamentals of governance research. Referring to his latest article on ‘metropolitan governance as organized anarchy’, Professor Le Gales talked about forms of decentralization and the importance of local politics while explaining shifting relations between states and cities.
