In this webinar, four groups of researchers share their insights and reflections on the question “To what extent do different forms of land ownership impact housing affordability?” This webinar is a joint initiative of the Urban Governance Research Network and the Geodata for Real Estate Research group of the University of Avignon. The Urban Governance Research Network, abbreviated as UGoveRN, is an international academic network with the mission to generate, support, and disseminate interdisciplinary urban governance research. UGoveRN members unite around interrelated research themes, notably ‘property markets’ and ‘spatial regulation’, which are particularly relevant for this webinar. The Geodata for Real Estate Research group brings together a team of researchers based in Avignon who specialize in quantitative approaches to land and property markets. Part of their mission is to address the significant challenges faced by local and regional authorities by understanding the social, economic, and environmental changes associated with residential dynamics.
